I've been a DM for quite some time now, and in my days I've run everything from AD&D to 4e, I've played Herolab, Palladium, GURPS, M&M, and a dozen others, all because I have one love, one taste that I've never been able to shake: tabletop roleplay gaming.
I couldn't tell you what part I love the most: I'm equally a DM who delights in dangling characters over death itself, a player who loves to thwart careful designs and everything in between - party lead, renegade, rules lawyer... all of it.
But I can tell you what I do the most, both at the table and away, If I'm doing something gaming-related, 9 times out of ten, I'm being a DM. I draw my maps, I write modules, create new feats/classes/races for my players, and tweak PGC (player-generated content); not for lack of anything else to do - I just like doing it.
In an effort to help other DMs, and players who want to understand the underlying and overarching dynamics of the game, I'm starting this blog. If you have a subject or a question related to gaming, leave it in comments and I'll make a post (or series) out of it.
Until next time, fare well.
